A precision designed tool, the RIDGID 23332 Flaring Tool produces 45-degree flares in soft copper, brass, aluminum and mild steel tubing. The hardened, smooth flaring cone provides fast flares in either single lap, or double lap for additional strength. The pipe flaring tool features a single clamp screw that allows for easy clamping and removal of the tubing. This pipe flaring tool produces seven 45-degree SAE flares in 3/16-inch, 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch, 3/8-inch, 7/16-inch, 1/2-inch, and 5/8-inch sizes. Unlike the single block, wrench driven double flaring product on Amazon for flaring 3/16 brake lines tried and returned, this tool coupled with the ARES double flare adapters will make factory perfect double flares in 3/16 CuNi brake lines. Really beefy and works very well. A little awkward to use with multiple pieces to hold in position and sliding handles to turn. But it clamps the line solidly and flares it perfectly. For a few dollars more, I can also now do lines up to 5/8 inch. The CP tool was much more user friendly but munched every flare in CuNi line.

Rigid is a good name but expensive, and even if I never use the tool again it was worth the money to get my project done. The flaring bar did not match up one side to the other. The flares were not consistent from one to another. Most of the time it would not sit square on the bar. I was hoping it would be a good tool for what I needed. As for when it arrived it was in a bag not a box and the parts were not even in the plastic display Maybe some one had already used it. It was supposed to be new but it sure did not look like it , It looked like all of the parts were just tossed in a bubble pack and shipped off.

Once you understand how to properly position the copper tube, you won't be disappointed.
I've used poor quality flaring tools, and have gotten great results because of proper positioning of the copper tube.
This tool is of much higher quality than others I've used in the past.

I bought this flare tool because of the 45* flare it produces. It cost about 4x what the previous tools I had been purchasing cost, however is not the most expensive out there.. The design is good if used properly--but it is not a "do almost everything for you" tool. You must take the time time to make sure the tube you are flaring is secured as straight as possible and that the flare (bolt) is centered over the tube. That being done, it really produces nice flares and I have used it to install 2 a/c's with tremendous results (no leaks).

As others wrote here, this is a hobbyist tool. It works, does the flare et all, but you'll need a good file and attention to detail to finish the edges. It doesn't have a guide for depth, how much pipe you leave sticking out to make the flange work. So you'll spend a few inches of pipe learning this part. Once you do the flare, besides the burrs, you also get this eccentric flare. I've tried rotating the tool, the pipe, everything, but the flra still comes eccentric.
The good news is that once you torque up the entire connection, it is leak free. The end result is not clean, because it squeezes the pipe on the sides, but is functional. If I were I professional, I wouldn't buy it. Buy something that gives better finish and needs less rework.
