PTFE Lined Pipe

Teflon Lined Carbon Steel Pipe is a group of pipes that has a coating of polytetrafluoroethylene. This is a polymer that is inert to many chemical agents, so that it acts as an anticorrosive layer even at temperatures exceeding 230 degree Celsius. PTFE Lined Carbon Steel Pipe is non-sticky and has good dielectric properties. The PFA Lined Carbon Steel Pipe can be extrusion pipe, PFA injection pipe or impounding pipe. These pipes are resistant to thermal shock, which means they don’t deform or defect under sudden fluctuations of temperature. There are different items produced in these materials and coatings such as manifolds that are to work with the PFA Lined Pipe lines. These pipes have no embrittlement, means they don’t age because they don’t corrode. The outer layer or the PTFE layer is inert to chemical reactions so that it does not change over time.

The PTFE Lined Piping has an electrical insulation because of the coating. It cancels out conductivity of the metal pipes by avoiding contact with electric current. The Carbon Steel PTFE Lined Pipe also has high thermal ability and flame resistance because of the coating as well. Since these are corrosion resistance to the extreme levels, they are compliant with food grades. Since there is no contact of the metal material with the weather conditions directly, the PTFE Coated Carbon Steel Pipe is resistant to weathering as well. There are different varieties of PTFE Lined Pipes and other material coated pipes. Some belong to the Teflon Coated Line Pipe group. Teflon is most known for its use in the cookware due to its non-sticky nature. So the non-sticky, temperature resistant, one of the least reactive material as Teflon is, it is used in Teflon Lined Pipe expansion joints to make similar connections. Teflon PFA Coated Pipe Fittings are used along with the PTFE coated piping.
