Product Description
Tamper Switch for OS&Y Valves features a compact, right-angle design that installs easily to most 1" (25.4 mm) to 12" (305 mm) Outside Screw and Yoke (OS&Y) valves. With the bracket removed, System Sensor's OSY2 Supervisory Switch also installs to side-bracket-style pressure reducing valves. Suitable for service in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 13D, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 72 when properly installed.
This Tamper Switch for OS&Y Valves prevents tampering and unwanted closure by activating a nearby alarm or fire alarm control panel when the valve reaches 1/5 of its travel distance or two full turns. System Sensor's OSY2 Supervisory Switch simultaneously activates connected signalling and monitoring devices with 100 percent synchronization.
Featuring weatherproof die-cast metal housing and approvals from UL, ULC, FM, MEA, and California’s Office of the State Fire Marshal, this rugged Tamper Switch for OS&Y Valves is designed for outdoor use. System Sensor's OSY2 Supervisory Switch installs easily using a single-side conduit entrance and adjustable shaft that eliminates the need for right-angle fittings or cutting the shaft.
Each Tamper Switch for OS&Y Valves includes tamper-resistant screws, a security wrench, and removable 1/4" H x 6 3/4" W x 1" D (5.7 cm x 17.1 cm x 2.5 cm) mounting bracket.
